Damian McGinty

Damian Joseph McGinty, Jr. (born September 9, 1992) is an Irish actor and singer from Derry, Northern Ireland. McGinty has been performing for over a decade, and was a member of the group Celtic Thunder for four years starting when he was fourteen. On August 21, 2011, McGinty won the Oxygen reality show The Glee Project, earning him a seven-episode guest-starring role on the hitFox television show Glee.





McGinty was born in Derry, Northern Ireland, the son of Damian McGinty, Sr., and Joanne McGinty. Damian has two siblings, Emmet and Gemma. He has been performing for over a decade, winning his first singing competition when he was just five years old. In 2006, McGinty won another competition and the following year he made a CD which was recorded for charity. It was then passed along to Celtic Thunder Producer Sharon Browne and Music Director Phil Coulter, who invited McGinty to sing for their first show. Damian was later accepted into the group at the age of fourteen and has been performing, as well as touring the USA and Canada with Celtic Thunder. In 2011, it was stated that McGinty was leaving Celtic Thunder, as a result of winning the Oxygen reality show The Glee Project, which gave him a seven episode arc on the Fox television show Glee. McGinty was selected as one of the top twelve finalists out of 40,000 contenders in a MySpace audition search, who competed for a role on The Glee Project. After making the top twelve, he came close to not being able to continue the competition when he had difficulties securing an O visa.


Along with Samuel Larsen, McGinty won a seven-episode arc on the third season of Glee. On his final performance on The Glee Project, McGinty sang "Beyond the Sea", which he chose to show Glee producer Ryan Murphy that he could handle a lead role. Comments from Glee producer Ryan Murphy have fuelled speculation that McGinty's character may become a leading role similar to Cory Monteith's character, Finn Hudson.

Following the final episode of The Glee Project, McGinty was featured in a special video on the Oxygen channel website with Cameron Mitchell, who won the Bing Fan Favorite. The two sang Michael Bublé's "Haven't Met You Yet". Mitchell saved McGinty from elimination earlier in the season, when Mitchell chose to leave the competition on the evening that McGinty was slated to be eliminated, though Mitchell hadn't known this when he made his decision. McGinty made his first appearance on Glee in the fourth episode of the season entitled "Pot o' Gold" playing Rory Flanagan, a foreign exchange student who is staying with Brittany S. Pierce's family. His initial seven-episode stint was later extended.

SWEDISH POP Music

Sweden is one of the largest exporters of pop and rock music in the world. Many Swedish artists have enjoyed success on the British and American charts and in other English speaking countries.

In 1996 The Cardigans released their third album, First Band on the Moon. The song "Lovefool" from that album was included on the soundtrack of William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet by director Baz Luhrmann. It found international success peaking at #2 in the UK Singles Chart. The following album, Gran Turismo (1998), was more electronic in style and contained the hit singles "My Favourite Game" and "Erase/Rewind".
"You and Me Song" by Swedish group The Wannadies was a huge radio hit in the UK and Ireland in the mid-1990s. This song also ended up featuring on the "Romeo + Juliet" soundtrack.
In 2008,Swedish group Caramell released a remix of their hit song, Caramelldansen as the Caramella Girls.
Robyn was 17 years old when her pop singles "Show Me Love" and "Do You Know (What It Takes)" were released in 1997. These singles both ended up in the top ten on theBillboard Hot 100 .[16]
1998 Meja's second album Seven Sisters was released. It contained the radio hit "All Bout The Money" which was peaked at #12 in the UK. In spring 1999 she recorded the duet "Private Emotion" with Ricky Martin. The song reached #9 in the UK singles chart.
Eagle-Eye Cherry released his debut album Desireless in 1998. Propelled by the hit single '"'Save Tonight" (UK #5, US #6), the album sold over 4 million copies worldwide.
Emilia Rydberg is well known for her 1998-1999 international hit "Big Big World".[17] The song peaked at #5 in the UK.
Andreas Johnson had a UK #4 hit in 2000 with "Glorious".
Swedish Songwriter/Producer Denniz Pop and Max Martin have written worldwide hits for pop artists like Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, Celine Dion, Kelly Clarkson, Katy Perry,P!nk, Avril Lavigne, Leona Lewis and Jessie J.

          Sedikit ulasan mengenai Swedish Music. Banyak yang menganggap Swedish pop itu mirip-mirip sama Brit-PoP  (British Pop). Swedish pop punya ciri khas yang beda dari pop Inggris ataupun Amerika. Pop Inggris lebih jangly dan lirik nya sedikit dark, pop Swedia lebih innocent sweet dan mellow, jadi lebih menyentuh dan sexy. hehe

Ini nih Swedish Pop Band favorite aku..

Lagu-lagunya Easy Listening dengan nuansa soft and sweet. Single LOVE FOOL paling terfavorite.
Ada juga swedish pop band yang aku suka.. GLOSS

Suara Vocalist nya yang sexy dan nuansa musik nya yang swedish banget, bikin lagu-lagunya pengen di denger terus. "Lonely in Paris" "My Heart Belong to you" and lagu-lagunya yang lain dijamin easy listening banget.

Kapan ya di Indonesia ada Band dengan Genre yang Pop dengan nuansa yang benar-benar Swedish seperti band-band ini.. :) Yang bukan mengaku-aku saja bergenre SWEDISH POP!

Iris bawang

I think that's true when I said it was a very bad bad experience in my life.. haha

Music Is My life, itu ga bohong. I love Music so Fvcking much. I made my own song mostly from the story of my life. Ketika musik membuat diri kita lupa sama edukasi, it was fun but very danger..
Terjadilah masa dimana aku tergabung dalam sebuah wadah untuk berkarya. awalnya oke oke ajah hingga suatu ketika banyak kejanggalan yang ku lihat. apa itu? kasih tau ga ya? haha
Bersama dua orang "Kawan" mengadu nasib di dunia entertain.. Tujuan utama sih berkarya plus cari money kali ya.. Tidak terlalu berharap akan Famous di dunia itu. Semua berjalan mulus mulus aja, dengan kepolosan yang nempel di muka ku ini, berusaha masuk dalam dunia itu.
Segenggam keberanian yang aku bawa (tanpa restu ortu) pindah ke Jakarta, berharap dapat menghasikan sesuatu yang berguna dalam bentuk karya.
Bergabung dengan sebuah Managemen X, berjalan lah wadah itu... (di wadah itu aku meng-Iris bawang) ups!
makin kesini, ko makin ga nyaman yah, tidak ada keterbukaan.. tidak ada transparansi.. terlalu banyak yang buram.. hingga yang namanya "KAWAN" pun ga ada artinya.. saling sikut, saling membela diri, saling memFITNAH..

Ga mau lagi masuk dunia yang kejm begitu, sulit membedakan mana kawan mana lawan.

Iris bawang terus tanpa ada hasilnya.. fiuuuhhhhhhh -,-
pelajaran yang aku dapet disini, hati-hati memilih jalan hidup.. hati hati memilih "Kawan"
dan ga mau Iris Bawang lagi..
